Two of my custom tags got added to the Hackvertor store, to generate random IP or UUID. You can install them by going to Hackvertor > View Tag Store > Install tag. Thanks Gareth Heyes \u2028

I was recently told that the hackvertor extension can display the most commonly used tags in a separate menu 🤯 That's sooooo useful!!

Note: this isn't enabled by default, you've to enable the option 'Allow Hackvertor to count tag usage'

just completed another Lab from PortSwigger , Here I was tasked to exploit an SQLI vulnerability in a web Application that uses WAF to block obvious SQLI Attacks but using the Hackvertor extension i was able to obfuscate my query to bypass the filter.

Another tool we're thankful for from this past year at the 🦊 Den, Hackvertor, happens to be a plug-in.

This tool supports various escapes and encodings including entities, hex, octal, unicode, url encoding, and so on.

Improve your testing workflow with Hackvertor. An extension provided by Burp Suite and developed by Gareth Heyes \u2028.

In our latest blog, we go through different scenarios of how you can use Hackvertor to modify requests in Burp👇

🧵 I’ve been using Hackvertor increment tags at work again this week. They are really useful when a site has a multistep process.

<@increment_var(0,'myCounter',true)/>

So the number is the start value, the second param is your var name and the third param is if it’s enabled.

Are you testing an API that requires a unique UUID that needs to be added in multiple parts of the request? You need Hackvertor tag variables:

<@set_uid(false)><Ryan/><@/set_uid>
<@get_uid/>

Use <@get_uid/> wherever you want the same UUID to appear.
