Just 2 of the stops from CVU officers yesterday. 1 vehicle was found to have an insecure load, with not a single strap being used to secure the load.

The other vehicle, which was carrying an abnormal load, was found to be off route from their movement order. GFPNs issued #CVU

Public in Limeside, Oldham have told us how sick they are of people driving anti-socially in their area. Our officers subsequently went over to give them some support. First seizure of the day was this car, seen being driven poorly & found to be uninsured. More to come residents!

Stopped today in #Oldham . Clearly overloaded and insecure, although the driver couldn't see the issue 🤷‍♂️. #prosecuted for the insecure load along with having an unreadable front numberplate for good measure. One day they may learn #CVU #Saferroads . Rectified roadside.

The driver of this refrigerated van received a frosty reception from #CVU officers when he was stopped on the M62. Unfortunately the van weighed in at more than 5 tons, putting the vehicle 44% overweight. GFPNs issued for 2 x weight offences and a seatbelt offence #Fatal4

A vaux zafira was sighted at high speed on the M602 Eccles by #ME18 it would then FTS + was pursued through Salford. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving FTS + immigration offences. In the vehicle officers located over 12000 suspected counterfeit cigarettes North West Motorway Police

This morning, the slip road from the M61 Kearsley Spur onto Kearsley Island / St Peters Way was closed due to an RTC following a pursuit where the offending vehicle collided with the safety barrier. The driver was arrested & is in custody for a number of offences. #GMP #Bolton

The driver of this vehicle didn’t want to pay for delivery so tried to transport his new 60” television home himself #M60 . Apparently, there wasn't anything dangerous about his load carried because he 'had hold of it'. #PG9 issued, load removed & driver reported North West Motorway Police
