A late night on the #mnleg House floor but it was worth it to pass the Minnesota Voting Rights Act and a great omnibus elections bill that ends prison gerrymandering, expands early voting to voters on campus, and requires the disclosure of spending on dark money political ads.

Junk fees are terrible - for consumers, for high road businesses, and for fair markets. We can do something about it -> tonight we passed a bill that requires businesses to ensure that any mandatory fees and surcharges are included in the advertised price. Simple as that. #mnleg

In 7.5 hours of debate on my 2 page bill banning junk fees the argument of my GOP colleagues boiled down to “Junk fees are terrible and the only thing more terrible is that we are doing something about it.”
