I know I’m (just a tiny bit) biased but couldn’t agree more with this glowing review of Nathanael Lessore’s : ‘Rib-achingly funny, poignant, thoughtful and sly, Lessore’s second YA novel confirms him as a uniquely talented writer.’ 🌟 Hot Key Books ✨📚

Reading this delightfully enchanting book on rec from Saida Azizova and it is so cosy and lovely and warm and witty - would totally pass on the recommendation, especially if you’re looking for a different kind of faerie fantasy 🧚‍♂️

This read has it all - a relatable, likeable M character, an abundance of humour, squirm inducing moments, superb writing yet still parts were genuinely moving. It shows a different side to growing up in a city community.
I beamed throughout its pages

Got home, was looking forward to a night in - put the heated blanket on the sofa to warm up while I made dinner. Come back 20 mins later and am met by what can only be described as a STENCH. Cat got sick on the blanket and it’d started to cook… Just the evening I had in mind 🙃

They said it couldn't be done.
The said it was near-impossible.
They said I was was wasting my time.

And they were right, inventing moon glasses (the opposite of sunglasses) wasn't the most productive Saturday.

Also I'm proud to be shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize
