A Dublin woman who became blind after brain tumour surgery is forging her own path to pursue her dream of a career in teaching. Claire Shorten qualified as a teacher in 2019 but after 60 job applications, she says she has been offered only one interview for a teaching position.

It's official - the ECLO Service is now available at Univ Hosp Waterford! Claire and the team look forward to working with the Ophthalmology Team to help support patients in the south east to access vision rehabilitation and support services in the community. 🎉
