My thanks as parliamentary Commissioner for Commonwealth War Graves to Mr Speaker for hosting the Torch of Commemoration in Parliament yesterday alongside D-Day veteran Ken Hay, as part of the build up for #LegacyofLiberation D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations in the first week of June.

This week's debate in the House of Commons on the work of the Commonwealth War Graves in maintaining the graves, memorials and memories of the fallen from the two World Wars was a definite highlight. As several MPs noted 'The House at its best'.
