Our 2nd graders are learning to collaborate while researching how pollinators help plants survive. Groups took their own notes from the text to fit each category. Willow Brook Elementary School #integrity

We had some special visitors in Room 215 today. Our scholars were collaborating as they dove deep in the text to discuss text features and learn about pollinators. Mrs. G and Ms. Kaylee were great helpers! Willow Brook Elementary School

The collaboration this group of scholars showed today was simply amazing. They were randomly grouped and given a task to make a poster about everything they have learned so far about plants. They supported each other and drew on each other’s strengths to complete the task.

What a great day! Glow Party was a success and our scholars had their first experiences with Pizza Math on the Osmos. They had so much fun they didn’t even realize they were learning fractions and how to count back change. Osmos for the win! Willow Brook Elementary School

Christmas crafts, Farkle, and Bean Boozled were just some of the fun activities this week. And for the record, I can vouch that the pear/booger flavor and the cappacino/liver and onion flavor are disgusting! 🤢 Parents, I apologize if your child comes home with stinky breath!

We had a visitor this week in my classroom. As the week went on, he asked for help with his spelling. He listened closely as we sang our song and listened to the stories. His message for today was almost spot on. Thank you Katie!

Today, our scholars worked diligently to use computational thinking to solve a real life problem. Their challenge was to place 12 discs on their carpets that represented students.
