Ambassador of Tunisia to Kenya, H.E Anouar Ben Youssef has paid today March 28, 2024, a courtesy visit to Algerian Ambassador to Kenya H.E MAHI Boumediene.

The President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit received letters of credence from the non-resident Ambassador of Algeria to Juba H.E MAHI Boumediene in a formal ceremony at the Government General Secretariat on April 4, 2024.

Kenya Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi received and engaged in a productive discussions with H.E. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, during his official visit to Nairobi.

The focus was on deepening cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, energy, and education for mutual benefit.

On this occasion, Ambassador MAHI Boumediene has expressed his warm welcoming to Ambassador Anouar Ben Youssef and wishes him full success on his new duties as Ambassador of Tunisia to Kenya. The two have also highlighted that they continue working on the multilateral matters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. James Pitia Morgan, who was present at the ceremony, said the event signified growing diplomatic ties between South Sudan and Algeria.

The two expressed optimism of prospects ahead as they work to enhance economic partnership and collaboration between Kenya and Algeria, fostering a more interconnected and prosperous future for our peoples and the African continent.

Dr.Morgan emphasized the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic relations with nations around the world in order to promote peace, cooperation,and mutual understanding.The Ambassador from Algeria expressed his countries’ eagerness to strengthen bilateral relations with Juba.

Algeria and Kenya share a similar armed war for independence and Pan African ideals.
