We found differences also in monocyte gene expression in IPF compared to controls and with disease progression; unexpectedly we found evidence for monocyte activation of platelets in IPF & changed IL1b

As expected monocytes in stable IPF, more so in progressive. Only classical and intermediate ⬆️, but not non-classical that do not express CCR2. Increased in classical monocytes = ⬇️survival
