Biplane DSM often crucial in evaluating CSF leaks. In this patient with bibrachial amyotrophy and a large ventral collection it appeared to be a ventral leak on the lateral projection but it actually was a lateral leak best seen on the AP projection ⁦⁦⁦spinalCSFleak⁩

MRI showed an extensive extradural CSF collection in this bedridden patient but subsequent scans showed complete resolution of the leak. CT showed that a calcified disc fragment had broken off and migrated intradurally steering the way to the dural tear. ⁦spinalCSFleak⁩

Not all spinal fistulas are CSF-venous fistulas. The OR was questioning why one of the fistulas we operated on yesterday required intra-op angiography. This was for a T10 dural arteriovenous fistula.
