We discussed UNHCR’s critical work in Sudan, Haiti, Ukraine and the Middle East; the life-saving importance of new U.S. supplemental funding for humanitarian assistance; and Vice President Kamala Harris’s work to address root causes of migration from Central America.

In Guatemala this week, I was pleased to see humanitarian programs supporting refugees and vulnerable migrants through Population, Refugees, and Migration Bureau partnership with 🇬🇹, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳. PRM has provided more than $117 million in humanitarian assistance for Guatemala since 2019.
