🙌 Congratulations to Sarah Champion, committed campaigners and brave victims for seeing this much-needed change through.
💬 An important step to bring safety and comfort to sexual abuse survivors.
💭 It was a pleasure meeting Andy Cooke this morning to discuss how we can work together to ensure that victims remain at the heart of the criminal justice system.
💬 I look forward to continue that conversation further down the line.
Grateful to esther addley for shining a light on some of the issues faced by male stalking survivors, following Netflix's #BabyReindeer .
Male or female, victims need protection, support — and justice.
Help is available. Contact the National Stalking Helpline ☎️ 0808 802 0300.
I share Domestic Abuse Commissioner's concerns: accurate data is essential; good policy rests on real numbers.
But this is about more than just columns in a spreadsheet. It's also about safeguarding each and every survivor.
Without a clear picture of offending, we risk failing victims.
Well put by Victim Support at BBC Radio 4 Today's anti-social behaviour debate:
💬 'Bring the victim's voice to the fore and listen.'
Anti-social behaviour ruins lives. Victims need support but they face a post-code lottery when trying to access it. This needs to change.

NEW: Ministry of Justice to introduce new legal protections for victims' counselling notes.
This is a victory for campaigners and I welcome this long-fought for change to protect victims' privacy.
An important step forward. There is further go to.

Our justice system too often adopts a 'one-size-fits all' approach to justice.
But what if we could find more solutions tailored to individual and community needs?
A pleasure to speak at #StMaryConf24 today and discuss how to deliver a system that serves the needs of all.
Today marks the start of #NSAW2024 .
I'm pleased to be joining Suzy Lamplugh Trust at their conference tomorrow, calling for all agencies to #JoinForcesAgainstStalking .

Thank you for spotlighting anti-social behaviour.
I will continue to push for better support for these victims. As Ed Balls said, I don't give up easily.
