In 4 Oct, I will participate in a TICCIH_IndustrialHeritage online workshop on 'Collaborative Map of Industrial Heritage in Latin America and the Caribbean' during the '2nd TICCIH Global Members Meeting'.
I will discuss 'Citizen Participation in Mapping Labour Culture'.
Had a fantastic time at @livuni doing SEM analysis on some of my copper slags & conglomerates, for my PhD research. The analysis and training was funded by the Archaeology at Sheffield ‘s Andrew Sherratt Fund. It will give further understanding on how the copper smelting furnaces functioned.

I'm honoured to represent Archaeology at Sheffield and Deindustrialization and the Politics of Our Time as keynote speaker at the 6th International Industrial Heritage Conference organised by the U. Bucharest. I will discuss 'Post-industrial communities's heritage: from active forgetting to inclusive remembering'.
Two more work placement students Harry and Seth joined the department in July. They shadowed our Technical Team and learnt about archaeological fieldwork and post-excavation work, including finds washing and recording, 3D scanning and lab-based analysis! #Archaeology
The Archaeology at Sheffield has partnered with archaeologists at the University of Oxford and Cerne Abbas Historical Society to find a Benedictine abbey that has lain undisturbed for almost five centuries! 🕰️
