Astrogeology sometimes gets some interesting wildlife interactions! We had an ASTROturf war between a Turkey Vulture and an American Crow. The Crow called in reinforcements before flying out of the ASTROdome arena area. Victor unclear.

A team of USGS Astro researchers and collaborators have been studying glaciers in Iceland. Through this research, they've learned that there may be similar features on Mars, suggesting a past climate similar to Earth's! Find out more in this article! usgs.gov/news/featured-ā€¦

Asteroids can impact anywhere on Earth and cause different problems depending on where they land. One way we can prepare for hazards is by using Earth analogs. Learn more about analogs that we use to investigate potential asteroid impact...impacts! ow.ly/FgT050NFv4s

If you thought Earth is the only place with lakes, think again! This false-color radar image (top) shows lakes on Titan comparable in size to Earth's Great Lakes (bottom), but Titan's lakes are filled with liquid methane! It's so cold that water ice acts more like a rock!

- Is THAT where they got the idea for 'spider legs' in many Volganologists favorite disaster movie, Dante's Peak? This lunar rover prototype never launched to the Moon, but it was never responsible for saving Pierce Brosnan, so I guess 'spider legs' still has the advantage!
