Last week an URNU Yorkshire student had the opportunity to go offshore sailing with Joint Services Adventure Training and gain his competent crew qualification.
OC Wrightson said, “The weather made for an interesting challenge but just made us come together as a crew even more.”

Last weekend URNU Yorkshire had our Annual Mess Dinner at The Deep.
A fantastic evening was had by all in a unique location, with some great beliefs given by OCs on the Battle of Sadras.

URNU Yorkshire OCs have been having lots of great experiences at our parade nights recently.
Our first years got their first experience of a PLT #LearnTodayLeadTomorrow and we got hands-on with firefighting equipment and learned how it is used in the #RoyalNavy .

Students get paid while developing their leadership and teamwork skills and making lifelong friendships. There are URNUs all over the country from URNU East Scotland to @LiverpoolURNU and from @London_URNU to URNU Devon. There’s even a virtual URNU. Naval Servicewomen's Network Royal Navy
Led by our Coxn, WO1 Kirby RM, URNU Yorkshire OC's marched alongside the British Army 🇬🇧, Yorkshire UAS at #York Remembrance Sunday parade yesterday.
Our CO, Lt McKenna RN laid a wreath and took the salute for the March past on behalf of the Royal Navy.

This week is one of #Rememberance for URNU Yorkshire.
We had our Trafalgar night mess dinner, with Cdr Crosby RN as our Guest of Honor, saluting all those sailors involved and their sacrifice.
We have also been continuing our Royal British Legion collecting too around #Yorshire .

Students from URNU Yorkshire have been participating in the Poppy Appeal at Hull @ASDA on behalf of the Royal British Legion.
Officer Cadets will also be collecting in York, Leeds and Sheffield next week in the lead-up to #RemembranceSunday .

URNU Yorkshire will learn about what happened and remember their immortal sacrifice at our Trafalgar Night mess dinner in a few week's time.

Last weekend a group of URNU Yorkshire students traveled to Plymouth to take part in The Holt Cup sailing competition.
After lots of very close racing we finished 4th out of the 8 teams. Many thanks to the Royal Naval Sailing Association for organizing and allowing us to attend.
