Today, I met with 🇩🇰 Minister for Immigration & Integration Kaare Dybvad. Many Belarusians face challenges with expired passports & lack of documents. The regime retaliates against those who oppose it or support 🇺🇦, trying to lure them back to be detained on trumped-up charges.

I am shocked by the attack on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. Violence in any form must be condemned. My thoughts are with him and his family at this time. I send my best wishes for his rapid recovery. I urge everyone to take care and stay safe, wherever you are.

The European project will not be complete without #Ukraine & #Belarus . That's why the democratic world must do everything possible to secure Ukraine's victory. But we can't overlook Belarus. Weakening Lukashenka's dictatorship will also help Ukraine. Alliance of Democracies #CDS2024

I was honored to receive the European of the Year award today from 🇩🇰 Europabevægelsen. This award is a symbol of #Belarus ' rightful place in Europe. Grateful to Prime Minister Statsministeriet Mette Frederiksen & Chairman Jens-Kristian Lütken for their heartfelt words & support for the Belarusian people.

Our culture is our greatest secret weapon & superpower. A strong national identity ensures that a people cannot be enslaved. Belarusian culture unites us & inspires our continued fight against tyranny. When you support our culture, you are supporting our struggle for freedom.

Last year, the famous Belarusian artist Ales Pushkin died in prison. For decades, he challenged the dictatorship through his art. Today, I presented his 'Belarusian Sun' to Jan Jambon as a symbol of our friendship. Ales believed in the European future of #Belarus & so do we.

I spoke to James Cummings at Times of Malta about the need for world leaders to use their instruments and tools more effectively against dictators. There can be no 'business as usual' when people are dying under the most brutal dictatorship in #Belarus .

Tomorrow, I will return to speak at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit #CDS2024 at the invitation of Alliance of Democracies. I will share our key messages: Democracies must stay united & show their teeth to dictators. Freedom for #Belarus & victory for #Ukraine is essential for Europe.

Four years ago today, Masha Maria Kalesnikava joined Виктор Бабарико's presidential campaign in #Belarus . Now, both are held as political prisoners, completely cut off from the outside world. So is Viktar's imprisoned son, Eduard. We can't allow them to be forgotten!

Mikita Zalatarou was just 16 when he was arrested in 2020 for protesting against the stolen elections.

Today, he turns 20 in prison. He has been beaten & is being denied medication.

Happy Birthday, Mikita! I hope that you, along with all Belarusians, will soon see freedom!
