Royal Assent has been granted for the #UNCRCScotland Bill meaning it's now an ACT!

Most provisions will come into force 6 months from today (16th July)

A HUGE congratulations to all the children, young people & their supporters who have got us to this point

#UNCRCScotland has received Royal Assent and is now officially the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024!

The substantive parts come into force 6 months from today (unless Scottish Government commences early)

🚆It’s full steam ahead for the #UNCRCScotland Bill!

GOV.UK has not challenged the Bill so it will now go for Royal Assent (final approval by the King)👑

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill has been passed unanimously by MSPs this evening at Reconsideration Stage.
