Are people reduced to living in tents in our towns and cities exercising a lifestyle choice? I thought it had something to do with successive governments’ failure to tackle the housing crisis - maybe by replacing social housing lost through Right To Buy like they promised?

Just when her policies are leading to a big increase in rough sleeping.

What’s happening to this country?

Let's make it clear: living on the streets is not a ‘lifestyle choice’ - it is a sign of failed government policy.

No one should be punished for being homeless.

Criminalising people for sleeping in tents, and making it an offence for charities to help them, is unacceptable.
