A great day at Track and Field!

Our STEM focus last week for grade 7 students was to build a water filtration system💧Students explored the effects of different resources to determine how effective they are to filter out pollutants in water. Great discussions and connections made during the experiment!

Our STEM focus last week for grade 6 was building a battery operated car 🚗 I am so proud of how well the students worked to accomplish this task! They each took on a role and together combined their parts to create their car! Next goal is to investigate how to navigate the car.

We are so proud of our Silver Birch and Red Maple Reading Club! Over the last few months, students have read a minimum of 5 out of 10 nominated Canadian books and voted for their favourite. We celebrated the end of the program with an ice cream party & prizes! Thanks Ms Ficca!
