I kicked off my day at U.S. Army Fort Gregg-Adams for the ribbon cutting of the new U.S. Army Women's Museum exhibit honoring the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion and their incredible leader, LTC Charity Adams, for their service in WWII.

Major Charity Adams was the first African American woman to lead a WW2 battalion.

Known as the Six-Triple-Eight, the majority black women’s unit, sorted mail to deliver to US soldiers stationed in Europe.
