Learning to read opens up doors to many other opportunities. For this learn at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, learning with Shannon Trust was completely life changing.

Our reading programme is designed to support learners of all abilities, including learners who do not speak English as their native language. For many of our ESOL learners, learning with Shannon Trust has been the first time they have been able to learn and understand English.

We were blown away to see this piece of artwork created by one of our learners at HMP Erlestoke.

They have not only done something positive for themselves, but they are also showing others the difference learning with Shannon Trust can make.

There is no better feedback than hearing from a learner saying how proud they are of themselves 💙

Some more fantastic feedback about our numeracy programme, Count Me In. This comes from a learner at HMP Birmingham who has dyscalculia and has just finished manual 1.

It was great to be invited to the Quakers in Criminal Justice Conference recently, where 2 of our prison facilitators, Liz and Charlotte, talked about who we are, what we do and how we are supporting people in prison and in the community.

We were delighted to see one of our facilitators, Josh, receive a High Sheriff of Hampshire award for his role leading the Shannon Trust programme at HMP Winchester.
