No luck finding the Little Stint on the Stilt Pools at Medmerry this morning but I did find this splendid caterpillar of The Drinker Moth along the path.

Silver Y on the beach this morning at Selsey Bill. Unfortunately about an hour later it was snaffled by a Starling collecting food.

Across the upper reaches of the harbour’s saltmarsh, you can spot the pale pink flowers of Sea Thrift at this time of year. Also known as “Sea Pink” or “Cliff Clover”, this iconic flower was once minted onto the back of a thupenny bit!
