“For the last time” IWOCL this year, James Brodman, Intel, is presenting. This time on work from SYCLstd spec editor, Greg Lueck, on online compilation for SYCL to enable source code generation for kernel variants along with other ideas for declaring kernels.

Sean Stirling Codeplay Software presents IWOCL an extension bringing Bindless Images to SYCLstd to take advantage of image support built into native hardware, with @blender trying it out already.

Brian Homerding, ALCF , presents the SYCLstd backend to the RAJA performance portability abstraction layer IWOCL

Daniel Arndt, Oak Ridge Lab, presents their experiences implementing a SYCLstd backend for the Kokkos abstraction layer IWOCL

Events events events! James Brodman, Intel, is back to talk about the hidden cost of SYCLstd events, and some interesting future abstractions for dependencies and events to solve this. IWOCL

SYCLstd IWOCL Finally (for now!), James presents an extension to teach a SYCLstd compiler more information about your application through compile-time properties IWOCL

Then, James presents a joint matrix extension, showing a way that the SYCLstd could support matrix hardware accelerator in a standard way. IWOCL

We now hear IWOCL a triple-bill of talks from Intel, presented by James Brodman, on extensions they’ve been working on for SYCLstd. First up is an abstraction of groups in SYCL.

Next up, Aksel Alpay from Uni Heidelberg speaks about the new support for Standard C++ standard parallelism based on SYCLstd in AdaptiveCpp, and provides a smooth path from C++ to SYCL when you need more control whilst maintaining a portable application.

The final day of IWOCL this year kicks off with a welcome from Brice Videau and our local hosts ALCF, speaking about the Aurora supercomputer, and the importance of OpenCL API and SYCLstd
