This drawing in the collection of ⁦Royal Armouries⁩ sums up the historic dual role of the Tower of London. It was both a location for the display of historic arms and armour and a key centre for issuing weapons to the military. Only in cartoons did the 2 get mixed up!

It's with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Master Armourer to the Royal Armouries, Dave Hewitt. Dave, a long-time friend and partner of the museum replenished, repaired and created new world-class armours for us for over 25 years.
