Make no mistake, Governor Mike DeWine’s proclamation only strengthens the Senate’s effort to undermine direct democracy in Ohio, rather than focusing on putting #Biden on the ballot.

Democratically (small d) healthy states don't hold presidential ballot access hostage as ransom for their own pet desires. Ohio is not currently a democratically-healthy state. It is, perhaps more than any other state, a reflection of the authoritarian movement in America.

What a sad state of affairs in Ohio that the choices would come down to having to choose between losing the right to vote for a sitting US President or losing the right to freely and fairly amend the Constitution of the state. Yet people vote for Republicans taking our rights.
