Thank you to RIHousing for hosting a very informative workshop for developers today. The Rhode Island House of Representatives has passed a great deal of housing legislation in the last few years, so RIHousing held the workshop to give an overview of changes to the state's land use laws that resulted.

In RI, there are currently no communities where families earning the median income can afford to buy a typical home. That’s why I introduced new legislation to bring homeownership within reach for more families by offering a $15k refundable tax credit to first-time homebuyers.

Proud to be one of the 66 PHAs across the country awarded crucial Department of Housing and Urban Development vouchers that will house and support veterans and their families. We look forward to deploying these funds and providing housing stability and resources to RI vets alongside our partner @vaprovidence.
