Lamppost EV chargers are the answer to how you charge your vehicle in cities.

This is possible because when energy intensive street lamps were replaced by LEDs, thereā€™s excess power for charging EVs.

All cities should do this. āš”ļø

A remarkable thing happened in March this year.

For the first time, the fossil fuel rich state of Texas generated more electricity from solar power than from coal.

The Atlantic hurricane season kicks off June 1 and NOAA predicts a busier-than-usual season.

Climate change isn't increasing hurricane formation: but once storms form, they're intensifying faster, slower + much stronger, and dumping a lot more rain.

Oil-rich Texas is adding more solar per capita than any US state and any country anywhere, generating more power from solar than coal for the 1st time in March

Texas is now Americaā€™s clean energy giant because fossil fuels canā€™t compete

Brutal heatwaves ongoing simultaneously.

Mexico City (Tacubaya Observatory) yet again breaks its heat record (34.7Ā°C). Data since 1877 and sits 2,309m above sea level.

India is breaking records in the north-east while the north-west is reaching 50Ā°C.

More records will fall.

California is entering phase 2 of something we will see worldwide:

Phase 1)
Solar+wind replace up to ~70% of fossil electricity

Phase 2)
Solar+wind+batteries replace up to ~90% of fossil electricity

Phase 3)
Solar+wind+batteries+eFuels replace 100% of fossil electricity

ā€¢ $62 trillion to implement

ā€¢ Payback in just 6 years

ā€¢ 52 million jobs worldwide created

ā€¢ 24 million jobs lost

ā€¢ The average electric bill will fall 63%

Nuclear proponents should realize by now that Germany as an example of an energy system 'going back to coal because they closed nuclear power plants' looks increasingly pathetic.

This Human Progress article by Zion Lights from a year ago that they just reposted didn't age well.
