3,894 patients died in public locations over the report period. The use of parks/woodlands increased over the report period, particularly in people aged under 25. Local suicide prevention plans should address high risk locations #NCISH2024
Between 2016-2021, there were an average of 167 patient deaths/year in those who had received a one-off assessment. Many had experienced recent adverse life events but were not offered further treatment. Awareness of risk and care is needed when considering discharge #NCISH2024
