I’ve read the article - it was sent to me by a friend in the USA. I agree that it should be available in the UK but would also observe that nothing within in it in terms of evidence or argument was unavailable or indeed unexpressed at the original trial. theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…

Political assassination is not new, although there are periods when it becomes contagious but also when it disappears. When we shout at opponents rather than talk with one other, when we demonise and caricature rather than try to make sense creates a context of contagion.

Appalling - truly appalling - in itself and intentional animal cruelty and torture (IACT) is often associated with, or can lead to harming humans. This specific case is a form of organised abuse which suggests how widespread the phenomenon has become. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

I’m intrigued by a recent(ish) development in the TV cop/detective genre: Sugar on Apple (very good); Dead Boy Detectives; and awaiting Shardlake on Disney. A long way from police procedurals even if The Name of the Rose predates them.
