Thanks to Fight Bladder Cancer for providing me with important information on bladder cancer.

The Infected Blood Scandal is one of Britain's gravest injustices.

The scale of the horror uncovered is appalling. I pay tribute to the victims who’ve fought so hard for justice.

Apologies must be accompanied by action.

(2/2) However, Sir Brian Langstaff produced his final recommendations on compensation in April 2023.

It is still unclear if all these recommendations have been accepted.

More openness and transparency is still urgently needed to build trust and move forward.

I welcome the compensation statement made today following Infected Blood Inquiry’s final report.

This would not have been possible without the strength and perseverance of those infected and affected who have campaigned for so long for justice.
