OooooH! Thunder heard in the Vale! Home-grown thunderdsorms breaking out as the air moves northwards over the Bristol Channel. The cap is off! It's a case of where will get the downpours and they could be widespread in Western England and Wales. 😱

Will it be us! 🤞🤞

NeverTrustATory Stu Hennigan Or look at Grandad Wheels
He visits 100s of schools, with his books, does a show and sells books. Incredible achievement and saying so much about disability. Take my hat off to him. Several hats in fact.

Here we go.
Researchers as obsolete.
Perpetuating these battles between classroom practitioners and researchers is how WELL PAID ‘experts’ like TB wriggle into the gap.
15 years in schools thanks. Now an education researcher and work with teachers all the time.

JBL This is what other parties will be fighting against at the next election and even with this, the Tories are set to lose by a landslide.

The book is the outcome of so many colleagues collaborating across the U.K.’leading from the middle’. Over the last eight years we have transformed the paradigm of the critical role of the education adviser. As Prof Chris Chapman says the role is so multifaceted Talk for Teaching.😀

No space before half-term - though if you were desperate, we'd sort something - but I have spaces in summer 2 for writing full SEFs, or doing QAs of your existing SEF. Do get in touch. The CPD, as well as the SEF writing, is excellent!

Yes!

The system would collapse! I left in 2022 to make a stand

The problem is, that serving leaders often do it so that they get privileged information to take back to the ranch.

If you missed my speech & want to know why I think:
⛔️Serving leaders should not be inspectors until we have a safer system
⛔️Single word judgements are dangerous
⛔️Recruitment & retention is at crisis point & punitive inspections are a cause

Anon post:

I’m applying for my first headship. Alongside my letter of application, is there anything else you would include? Some colleagues have suggested a photo portfolio, a letter to the children, collage of messages/cards from pupils & parents etc.

Any thoughts.

Every single time Gillian Keegan uses Ofsted's single-word judgements with pride, it is a reminder that she cares more about statistical convenience than teacher wellbeing. An inquest, an inquiry and Ruth Perry’s family have proven the harm they do, and she simply doesn’t care.

To be fair, it wasn't just Tom Bennett - the knee jerk reaction from many teachers was shocking. Good thread from Warwick; good points from Children's Society.

A personal 🧵 about ‘trauma.’ Just read a post about how schools must take care to ‘diagnose’ trauma. This is dangerous simply because we will never know what some children are going through. I could tell no-one about what I was suffering out of school. 1/

Talk for Teaching.😀 Gillian Keegan MP OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives Because of their plan, my son is only allowed one authorised college open day visit, despite being a prefect, high-performing student with zero behaviour sanctions and 6 colleges offering variations of his course. He's been told we could be fined if he attends all six open days.
