OKC lost a dedicated philanthropist and public education advocate this month, but his passion to improve our state will live on through the work of the Potts Family Foundation oklahoman.com/story/opinion/…
Over the weekend agents from my office visited Claremore, Salina and surrounding areas damaged by Saturday's tornadoes. We are continuing our work to protect residents from contractor fraud. Report suspected fraud to 1-833-681-1895 or [email protected].
I appreciate Gov. Stitt signing into law HB 3668 to significantly strengthen protections for older Oklahomans and vulnerable adults against fraud, abuse, neglect and exploitation. I also am grateful to Nicole Miller and Sen. Paul Rosino for shepherding this critical bill.
I want to thank Gov. Stitt for signing SB 1658, which is crucial to ensure justice for rape victims. Thank you Jessica Garvin and Rep. Jon Echols for authoring the bill to help protect Oklahomans by giving prosecutors the tools they need to uphold justice. oag.ok.gov/articles/attor…
Thank you, Representative Ajay Pittman, for ensuring that the nation’s first Black military flying unit, the Tuskegee Airmen, are properly recognized with an annual day in March. Every year we will remember and honor their historic and tremendous contributions to our country.
We are one step closer to eliminating the statute of limitations on rape when new DNA evidence arises or a confession is made. This is a HUGE win for survivors of rape. I applaud Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond, FL Jon Echols, and Monroe Nichols for being champions on an issue that impacts mostly women!
I applaud the Senate Aeronautics & Transportation Committee for voting to advance Gov. Stitt’s nomination of Tim Gatz to serve as exec director of Oklahoma Department of Transportation. I believe Mr. Gatz is worthy of confirmation by the full Senate, and will serve Oklahoma well.
It was my honor to cross commission several dozen Oklahoma City Police officers as officers of the Attorney General's Office in a historic partnership today. These officers will help my team fight the influx of organized crime and illegal activity into Oklahoma and help ensure public safety.
