It was a privilege to attend the DIAA Board meeting with two great wrestling ambassadors, Vic Leonard & Buddy Lloyd, so we could ask for their consideration of “recognizing girls high school wrestling.' I am thrilled to report that the Board has agreed to the following:

The NCAA Board of Governors on Thursday approved $1.7 million in funding — $200,000 in FY 025 and $1.5 million in FY 2026 — for establishing a National Collegiate women's wrestling championship, with the first expected in the 2025-26 academic year.
