Through the CU STEM Routes and Uplift program, Carina McCartney worked with NSO Dr. Reardon to study the recent solar eclipse with an 8' telescope. Now, she's headed home to Hawai'i to have an Akamai Internship with W. M. Keck Observatory, where she'll work with Keck's 10m telescopes!

Caroline Kennedy, U.S. Ambassador to Australia, toured the U.S. National Science Foundation GONG facility in Learmonth Australia to learn about GONG's six global telescopes, their role in supporting #spaceweather forecasting, and the importance of the next generation GONG facilities.

The U.S. National Science Foundation Inouye Solar Telescope released a video taken during Maui's partial solar eclipse that helps characterize the telescope's systems. This data, acquired with one of its support cameras, briefly shows the moving lunar edge during the eclipse. ow.ly/ZjrH50RgEzL
