Description of Allan Breck Stewart, wanted for alleged involvement in the infamous “Appin murder” of a rent collector, 25 May 1752.

Stewart was convicted in absentia but never apprehended. He’s best known now for appearing in Robert Louis Stevenson’s adventure novel “Kidnapped”.
