Today our Welfare and Human Rights officers checked on comrades Masaba Faustine and Mumbya Hussein at Bugungu Prison. They're in high spirits. They said they were severely beaten. As usual, trumped up charges (arson) even when they didn't know each other before! The impunity!!

Masaba was abducted on 17th April, 2024 but charged with an offence he purportedly committed on 18th April while in their custody. Like they did for our team arrested in Kalangala on 30th Dec, 2020 and charged with an offence purportedly committed on 3rd Jan 2021! THE IMPUNITY

Although the Habeas Corpus hearing was slated for today, the regime yesterday smuggled comrade Masaba Fostine and Mumbya Hussein to a Njeru Court, charged and remanded them to Bugungu Y.P Prison Farm in Buikwe district. This impunity was all done in the absence of our legal team

Today marks three solid years since comrade Olivia Lutaaya, 32, was abducted from her home in Namuwongo. She was detained incommunicado, undergoing torture, and later brought to the military court without the knowledge of our legal team or her family members.
