We had a good day updating and refreshing skills with staff on our NLC DofE leaders training day and another group of staff being trained and assessed on the camping leaders course

Wednesday was International Guide Dog Day. Tonight, TGIF at Airdrie discussed the discrimination & difficulties that partially sighted people face daily, learned how guide dogs were trained and used all 5 senses in games and activities. #youthworkchangeslives

Thursday Fun at the @ Home Centre Airdrie are working hard on their Outdoor Discovery Awards. They designed their own maps, painted rocks to decorate the planters outside and played navigation themed team games. They also received their NL Challenge certificates. Well done all!

This week North Lanarkshire Youth Council worked with staff to look at MHW support in schools and did some recordings for the Children’s Service Plan based on previous discussions. Always using their voice to impact change. #YourVoiceMatters

At The Space we looked at how masculinity is portrayed in the media and the stereotypes between male and female. There was some super interesting conversations and debates happening. A great night. #BecauseOfCLD #YouthWorkChangesLives #Discussions
