this is an obvious and eye-rolly observation, but like I feel like in my 30s I have a much more acute awareness of all the things I won't do. Like there's so many games I'll never play. So many books I won't read. I think in 20s I didn't have a strong sense of this.

Also as a short story write Munro, Saunders, Packer, those people who made it so you had to take stories seriously and not as an appetizer to something else will always have my highest esteem.

39 years ago today the City of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on a rowhouse on Osage Avenue belonging to MOVE, a West Philadelphia-based Black liberation and activist group.

The bombing and fire killed 11 people, and destroyed 61 homes.
