Legislators worldwide need to require AI companies to keep records of their training data.

There are already cases of AI companies deleting datasets and records after training is complete. This hinders copyright infringement lawsuits, and is entirely without justification.

OpenAI automatically opts out its enterprise customers’ data from training their models, presumably to attract them to become customers. This suggests they understand that people do not want their data trained on by default.

It’s hard not to see this as a double standard when
