On this day 2023, we started the next phase of our journey when my wife was admitted to hospital with Covid. So many challenges seen off over many months which has had a lasting effect. Time for a break from X to recharge, thank you to all for continuing support 💜

Living with dementia can be challenging due to unpredictability. It's crucial to understand that each person is unique. By aligning your expectations with your loved one's abilities & preferences, you can foster a more supportive & less frustrating environment.

Diverse Alzheimers The ad says there are 900,000 living in the uk with dementia. This may be “just an ad” to the Alzheimer’s Society, but the 900,000 really don’t need reminding 3 times through each ad their diagnosis is terminal!

Compassionate messaging is vital in dementia care as it upholds dignity, fosters connection, reduces distress, enhances quality of life, empowers autonomy, and promotes positive relationships. It acknowledges the humanity of individuals with dementia

“The ad is too blunt and too bleak to achieve its objective of increasing public awareness: people need to be told the truth but also to be offered a little hope to avoid increasing a sense of fatalism….. “ theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

The assumption is that developers don’t understand the needs of someone with dementia or more worryingly they think they know better what’s good for them 💜

The video was bad enough however the division is more damaging. When you live with Dementia you live like others with Dementia 💜
