Wheat Based Food Security is Zimbabwe's best foot forward.

Today, the Permanent Secretary, Obert Jiri, met Lands Officers countrywide in Gweru. They discussed land administration issues, Lands Information Management Systems (LIMS), and land allocation procedures.

The Acting Chief Director ARDAS (AGRITEX), Leonard Munamati, speaking on behalf of Deputy Minister Hon. Vangelis Peter Haritatos, at Mashandike irrigation scheme, urged wheat farmers in Masvingo to exceed the 5000ha target.

Hon Minister Dr. A.J. Masuka interacted with wheat farmers in Chegutu District, Mashonaland West Province today. He reiterated that the food security strategy in the El Nino ravaged season is based on wheat production.
