Despite finishing runners-up to Thurrock in the Women’s Junior Cup Final at Twickenham, Sheffield Tigers Women did the club and city proud on a sweltering day in the capital.

With St. Pauli winning the league a few miles away, was nice to kick back in the Eimsbüttel neighbourhood of Hamburg today. First up was HEBC von 1911 e.V. followed by a game at SC Victoria Hamburg - Fanszene's fabulous 1907 Hoheluft where tenants Teutonia Ottensen were playing Regionalliga football.

A niche fascination of mine is the recycled receptacles used by some non-League clubs to collect gate money. I’ve seen margarine tubs, carrier bags, shoe boxes and at Barmouth & Dyffryn United yesterday, a gravy granules container. Marvellous. Adam Hurrey
