Jordan Coates-McBride will start in Lane 2 of Heat 4. He is looking to qualify for Friday's quarterfinals.

The 400-meter hurdles are set to begin in 10 minutes and can be seen on ESPN+.

Chinazaekpere Okoye is competing in the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the 400 hurdles with North Texas Track & Field/Cross Country this week and has unique ties to Denton after arriving from Nigeria
