Joined our Belair-Edison students this morning for the 16th Annual Ayfa Mile Run. Despite the rain, these students still pushed through determined to reach the finish line. What better way to get our day started and to get our students energized for the school day.

Yesterday I returned to my childhood rec center to break ground on a brand new $7.5 Million Towanda Aquatic Center! Though I went to the Rec every day as a kid, I never swam in the pool. The pool was often broken and didn't even have bathrooms! The new center will open in 2025!

This afternoon, MONSE joined @mayorbmscott and Governor Wes Moore in Northeast Baltimore to highlight the work of the Scott Administration & all of our partners around the co-production of public safety. Together, we have significantly reduced homicides & shootings across Baltimore.
