I want to thx Dave Marsden, Mark Sickles & VA NoVa delegation for their budget amendments that will provide needed funding to address Metro Forward’s fiscal cliff. #wmata is critical to the DMV & Virginia and this funding is a big step in preventing major service cuts & layoffs.

Congrats to University of Mary Washington and Washington & Lee universities men’s soccer teams for their NCAA D3 tournament wins today. On to the round of 16! Christopher Newport plays it’s game at #5 Montclair State University at 7 pm tonight. Go Captains!

Congratulations to my Tigers! The TV hosts said there would be 9 ACC schools in the NCAA tournament! We’ll see. It is a tough conference to win no doubt.

It was a scrappy full court, playground-like affair at VCU’s Siegel Center. Alas, defense wins championships, and Hayfield’s teamwork forced more errors and made more stops to win the Div 6 state title for the 2nd yr in a row! Congratulations to all, especially to senior Hawks!
