We had a great night last night at the annual Awards ceremony. A huge thank you to Siobhian Brown MSP for her support, great speech supporting our graduates and for taking time to congratulate each graduate too.
We had a great evening - there will be more!

Last week our team attended the The Outward Bound Trust staff conference in Ullswater.
We thought it'd be a bit of an adventure to cycle there, and were joined by a few instructors from Loch Eil & Ullswater too!
Participants from Àrd-sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu and Hillhead High School have been working hard this week on this project while their team-mates from Outward Bound Loch Eil from Notre Dame High and Hillhead were working hard in a local primary school.
What a busy week for our team; I have 5 recruitment presentations plus a final review this week alone, with Chris McGeown kindly covering yet another presentation I couldn't manage to fit into my week.
Steve Mackenzie is has some final project delivery today too. It's all go!
Another varied day: while Ainsley Martin is recruiting in Edinburgh, Chris is recruiting, and Steve Mackenzie is in a primary school while one of his groups deliver environmental and growing sessions in Hillhead Primary

It’s a beautiful morning over in Edinburgh.
I’ve just handed out LOADS of recruitment flyers over at Holy Rood RC HS to their current S5 pupils. Hoping to see some really strong applications in by the end of March.
If you didn’t get a flyer, scan the QR code below to apply!
Pupils from Falkirk High School Graeme High and St Mungo's HS created Falkirk Community Cupboards giving an opportunity for low income families to access simple goods and toiletries in the community, and for others to donate. They gained support from
Falkirk Libraries and The Salvation Army who are hosting
Participants choose something they value to address for their projects - hence the huge variety of projects they undertake

Great start to the day presenting the Mark Scott Award to lovely pupils at Falkirk High School - some of whom had already applied (that’s keen!) -now off for a quick coffee before doing the same at St Roch's Secondary - it’s a lovely part of the job; being able to offer this opportunity all over.
Another great community project delivered by pupils from St Roch's Secondary , Bishopbriggs Academy and Springburn Academy at Westerton Care Home for their Mark Scott Award . The group created a beautiful garden for the residents to enjoy now that Spring is here .
Huge thanks to the young people who shared their stories of their volunteering journeys and the hallmarks and value of a youth work approach for this study bit.ly/3OS5rk2 Girlguiding Scotland G.Y.I.P Dundee CLD Youth Work Dundee City Council Machan Trust Mark Scott Award Tannahill Centre
During this #education needsyouthwork week - this is particularly important to highlight - Award participation with youth workers not just benefitting the direct participants education, but also then delivering to other young people too
