Local residents of Beaufort and Port Royal can expect to hear and see rotary aircraft flying overhead during the duration of the exercise.

The Crucible is a 54-hour culminating event in which the previous 11 weeks of training are put to the test.

Congratulations to the Parris Island Fire & Emergency Services for being awarded the Public Safety Communications Center of the Year by Marine Corps Installations Command.

Weather permitting, the Environmental Division, along with MCRDPI Fire & Emergency Services, is planning to conduct a controlled burn of landscaping debris on Page Field beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16th lasting through 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 17th.
