Last week, Kimpact Development Initiative and the National Assembly Joint Committee on Electoral Matters held a 2-Day South-West Zonal Legislative Interactive Session in Ibadan.
Youths from the South West region attended the event to speak with the Committee on Youth participation in Electoral Reforms.

The Joint National Assembly Committee on Electoral Matters & Kimpact Development Initiative will hold a 2-day South-West Zonal Legislative Interactive Session in Ibadan, Oyo State. This is an opportunity for young people to come up with recommendations to be amended in the electoral act.

South-West Zonal Legislative Interactive Session, 25th -26th April 2024, Ibadan, Oyo state.

The National Assembly is on a verge of reforming the Electoral Act, and on this ground, are reminding all invited South-west Youth organisations to be part of the discussions with the Joint National Assembly Committee on Electoral Matters on their electoral reform priorities.

The Joint National Assembly Committee on Electoral Matters, in collaboration with Kimpact Development Initiative is scheduled to hold a 2-day South-West Zonal Legislative Interactive Session in Ibadan, Oyo State.
This is to provide opportunity for youths to be involved in electoral reform process.

Yesterday, KDI hosted a Focus Group Discussion with young persons across different sectors outside the CSO space. This was in a bid to discuss the importance of integrating innovating technologies to further advance voter education and democratic processes in Nigeria.

Stakeholders in the electoral process were gathered in Abuja for a 2 days National Multi Stakeholders Forum on Youth Electoral Reform priorities, April 16-17, 2024. By Kimpact Development Initiative with support from @NED through National Democratic Institute.

The harmonized recommendations from the regional youth forums on electoral reforms were presented by Program Manager, The New Generation Girls &Women Development Ini. at the National Multi-Stakeholders forum towards getting broader recommendations from stakeholders.

Day 2 of the National Multistakeholder forum on youth electoral reform priorities is ongoing.

The forum aims to build consensus on electoral recommendations with stakeholders, particularly youth, towards amplifying youth voices in electoral reforms.
