Victor Kaufman-Bartfield Julian Heather Remember when the first hospital was hit after October 7. And it was claimed that Israel would never hit a hospital. Well, up to that point, the response was proportional. Since then, with every hospital, university and school destroyed, it has not been proportional.

UK govt must stand with others in international community making clear that extreme Netanyahu govt attacking Rafah breaches international law - there is no safe place to โ€œevacuateโ€ to. How frightened must children there be? UK Govt must stop grim complicity & end arms sales now

Gary Lineker saying what almost every normal human being thinks.

Killing children is wrong.

There's no reason, no history, no imagined future that excuses or justifies it.

And it's certainly not antisemitic to say that.

No aid has entered from the southern crossings in 3 days and only one bakery in Rafah is functioning.

Without a reopening of access, WFP's operations will go into standstill while families run out of food.

Iโ€™m not a supporter of Hamas, or IDF. Iโ€™m a supporter of children living long enough to become adults, & functioning healthy ones, not traumatised, malnourished ones. I donโ€™t dislike Jews or Palestinians, I dislike the distancing of ANY humans, anywhere, from acting with humanity.

Hi Victor. I really don't think this is getting us anywhere. You keep asking what I deem to be a proportionate response and I've already answered that. I'm sad that you can't see that what Israel is doing in Gaza is wrong as demonstrated by the scale of deaths and destruction.

Interwar architects often reused beams from old structures in their timber framing. Usually these were taken from derelict buildings, but the Liberty store was made from the teak and oak beams of two decommissioned warships. ET Hall, 1924.

One problem is that Israel tells civilians to move to 'safe' areas and then proceeds to target those areas with missiles and bombs. Israel appears to have little respect for Palestinian lives. It does seem to be that Israel is operating a scorched earth policy in Gaza.

To get the hostages returned requires another ceasefire. But Netanyahu and his Government has put waging war above getting hostages released. He appears to be happy that hostage deaths are acceptable collateral damage - along with the deaths of thousands of Palestinian children.

Going after Hamas is justified, but Israel killing at least 35,000 people, when most of those are women & children, can't be justified. Nor can Israel's actions in forcing Palestinian families out of their homes, destroying those homes and making large parts of Gaza uninhabitable

Right-thinking people would 100% agree Israel has a right to exist in safety. And good to hear that you acknowledge Netanyahu is one of the biggest barriers to peace. Proportionality is avoiding unnecessary civilian deaths, especially women and children - not practiced by Israel.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ Would Mr Galloway like to tell all the children who don't have a mam and a dad that their families aren't 'normal'?

Maybe they just have a mam. Or just a dad. Or cared for by grandparents. Or aunts and uncles. Or even siblings.

What an arse.

NEW: in an interview with Novara Media, George Galloway repeatedly says that gay relationships aren't 'normal', and children shouldn't be taught to think that they are.

Full interview out on Sunday at 3pm.

Liverpool Lib Dem Leader, Carl Cashman is shouted down at a Palestine Solidarity Campaign rally outside the Crown Court in the city centre in April at which he had been invited to speak. His crime?
Saying this, 'While we condemn the Netanyahu government, let us also condemn theโ€ฆ

Carl is unrepentant. Speaking to @liverpolitans, he said, 'I stand by the comment I made and I would say the same thing again, as I believe it is the right thing to do to condemn both sides. The October 7th attack was abhorrent and should rightly be condemned, as should theโ€ฆ

For many of the demonstrators present in Liverpool, the message appears loud and clear and shouted through a megaphone - 'the October 7th attacks against Israeli Jews are (in their minds) justified and forgivable.' It begs the question, how widely is this position shared amongstโ€ฆ
