Bryan Glick 100% agree Brian !! None of them, DBT or Fujitsu part with money because they have a conscience !! It is a business decision and nothing else !!

Varchasanraj V Patel Oh, I agree! The pressure on Fujitsu to contribute a significant sum will be huge - but I don't see that any balance sheet manoeuvres like this at this stage give an indication of what they are preparing to pay

I doubt this is anything to do with possible compensation payments - more likely because the UK business appears like it may be in free fall:

Alice Tom Witherow I've known about that document since 2013/2014. I've just been waiting for today very patiently. Sitting so close to Mr Singh with his head in his hands, I have to admit to having a little smile to myself.

Forwarded email also said the report “may have repercussions in any future prosecution cases...”

Records show the report file was saved to Singh's computer and printed 9 mins after this email - but Singh claims he never saw it and it's not a 'cover up'.

2) This email shows Rob Wilson, head of criminal law, sent Singh a Fujitsu report on bugs in 62 branches, 3 days before Seema Misra's trial.

This report was not given to Seema's defence team - a move she believes could have kept her from being jailed while pregnant (cont.)

Singh email quotes 2009 investigation report: “Having analysed the Horizon print out and accounting documentation, I was unable to find any evidence of theft, or cash in hand figures being deliberately inflated.”

Singh said “I can’t explain that now”, but denied 'a cover-up”.

Two eye-catching bits of evidence from the Post Office inquiry today.

1) Criminal lawyer Jarnail Singh said investigation report in Jo Hamilton's case should not be disclosed because “this would give the applicant every opportunity to ask why Hamilton was prosecuted”.

Post Office bosses plotted to raid the pensions of wrongly accused sub-postmasters to make up discrepancies in accounts.

Even when they knew that the IT system was faulty.

Extracting cash from innocent postmasters boosted bottom line and exec pay.
